NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION
(NACTE)
PUBLIC NOTICE
The
National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) is a statutory body
established under the National Council for Technical Education Act, Cap.
129, to oversee and coordinate the provision of technical education and
training in Tanzania. Under the establishing Act, all institutions are
required to be registered and accredited by the Council in order to
attain the status of a training provider.
The
Council is hereby giving fourteen (14) days notice from the date of this
Notice, to all technical institutions that are operating without being
registered to ensure that they are registered with the Council. This
Notice is issued pursuant to Regulation 5 of the Registration of
Technical Institutions Regulations, 2001.
Further
notice is given that failure to comply with this notice shall
automatically lead to imminent closure of the technical institutions as
provided for by the law.
The Table
below provides the list of technical institutions that have been
identified and are operating without being registered.
The
general public is requested to inform the Council on any institution
operating without being registered or offering un-approved programmes.
