The Deputy Minister for Informational, Youths, Culture and Sports Juma Nkamia.
Public Service Pension Fund (PSPF) members can now send their contributions through their nearest Maxmalipo agents instead of the hustle of having to physically visit the PASPF offices.

“The new remote electronic submission system through Maxmalipo agents is a great relief to members,” attested the Deputy Minister for Informational, Youths, Culture and Sports Juma Nkamia recently.

Speaking during the official launch of the new system, the Deputy Minister said it will especially benefit PSPF members from the informal sector who are covered via the fund’s supplementary scheme.

“The new system will simplify the otherwise very long and tiresome process that businessmen have to endure when submitting their contributions to the fund,’ he noted.

He said before the innovative ICT solution, members had to travel long distances to deliver their contributions but now they can do it from anywhere in the country.

PSPF officials explain that the electronic payment system was adopted because many members were failing to make their contributions simply because of the distance factor.

“With this simplified payment mode, more participants from the informal sector will join the fund,” he said and decried the fact that only 5.9 per cent of all Tanzanians have joined the fund.

“PSPF has a big role to play through its different products it ensure it attracts a bigger number of youth to join the fund for their benefit. I applaud this creative initiative,” he said.

Deputy Minister Nkamia took the time to call upon the citizenry, especially those from the informal sector to join the pension funds to secure their financial future.

He said by joining they will enjoy other benefits like house loans, loan for education and entrepreneurship as well as accident and death coverage.

Earlier, PSFP Director General Adam Mayingu said the partnership with Maxmalipo has smoothened the process of collecting monthly contributions from their members.

“PSPF will continue providing quality products for its members and keep introducing client tailored services that fit their reality,” he pledged.

Maxcom Africa Limited Juma Raajab reassured members of the fund that  the company has over 10000 Maxmalipo agents all over the country.

“With such a network, the fund members can easily send their monthly contributions to the fund without any travel hustle,” he said.
