ADMISSION DEAD LINE EXTENSION FOR EDUCATION PROGRAMMES

 

The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MoEVT) in collaboration with the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) would like to inform the public that the deadline for application into Ordinary Diploma and Higher Diploma in Teachers Education programmes through the Central Admission System (CAS) has been extended to 16^th August 2015.

The extension will allow “A” Level (ACSEE) graduates whose examination results were released on 15^th July 2015 to apply for Higher or Ordinary Diploma in Teachers’ Education programmes.
Minimum Entry Requirements:

1. Ordinary Diploma (Pre Service): Division I – III OR GPA of 1.6 in O Level or Division IV with minimum of four (4) passes and holder of Basic Technician Certificate NTA Level 4 or equivalent recognized by NACTE.
2. Ordinary Diploma (In Service): Grade IIIA Certificate
3. Higher Diploma: Two (2) Principal passes OR 0.7 GPA with two passes in A ‘Level or Ordinary Diploma (NTA 6).
4. Ordinary Diploma in Laboratory Technology: Passes (D) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics

For Science programs: 
At least two (2) passes in Science Subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) in O’ Level for Ordinary Diploma OR Two (2) Principal passes OR 0.7 GPA in Science and/or Mathematics (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics) in A ’Level for Higher Diploma
Higher Diploma in Languages:
At least two (2) passes in languages subjects (Kiswahili, English, French and Arabic) at “A” Level OR Ordinary Diploma NTA Level 6
Higher Diploma in Special Needs:
At least two (2) Principal passes at “A” Level OR Ordinary Diploma NTA Level 6.
Be informed that for those who did not complete their application during second extension period, especially for Teachers Education category, they will be able to complete their applications.
NOTE:
The system will automatically close after the deadline (16^th August 2015). All eligible applicants are therefore advised to use this opportunity to apply for admission through the Council website click here.
