Tanzania Commission for Universities Form six students’ transfer procedures for 2015-2016 academic year 1. Introduction After the release of names of students selected for admission into various higher education institutions in the 2015/2016 academic year, TCU has been receiving enquiries from a large number of applicants seeking to transfer from one institution to another. For this reason, TCU hereby announces the transfer procedures for the academic year 2015/2016.
2. Things to observe
Students selected for this academic year and wishing to transfer from one institution to another should apply through the Central Admission System (CAS). These students should also observe that: (a) A non-refundable transfer fee of Tshs 30,000/- will be required, (b) Transfers will depend on the applicants’ possession of relevant admission qualifications and availability of admission slots in the programme that one wishes to transfer to, (c) Transfers will be on merit basis and those applying for transfer will compete for available slots in the programmes of their choice, and (d) The names of successfully transferred students will be posted on the TCU website and these students will be notified through their mobile numbers.
3. How to pay transfer fee
Transfer fee shall be paid through M-Pesa, Tigo-Pesa and Max-Malipo. Click here to view payment procedures... 4. How to transfer (a) Applicants should first login into Central Admission System. (b) Click on View Possible Transfer Programmes. Then a list of programmes with available slots will open. Please note that for each programme the following information will be displayed: - Programme name, - Institution, - Cut-off points for the respective programme, - Number of vacant slots, - “View Details” link, - “Check Eligibility” link. (c) If the applicant wishes to proceed with the transfer then one should pay a nonrefundable transfer fee of Tsh. 30,000/= through the prescribed payment method. (d) Having paid for the transfer, the applicant should click on “Apply for Transfer”, then a form will open where the payment identification or voucher number can be entered. (e) Having entered the payment identification number, the applicant should click the “Select Transfer Programme” link then choose a programme that one wishes to transfer to. 5. Deadline for transfers The deadline for transfers is 2nd December 2015. Transfers done after this date will not be processed by the system. 6. Other transfers Please note that those wishing to transfer from one programme to another in the same institutions should consult their respective institutions for procedures.
