Rudi Garcia's side have an option to turn the
Colombian forward's loan move from Cagliari into a permanent transfer
for a further £5.7 million after he impressed there last season
Roma have confirmed the loan signing of Victor Ibarbo from Cagliari for a €5 million (£3.6m) fee.The Colombia forward spent the latter part of last season with the Giallorossi, for whom he made 11 appearances after a initial battle with injury.
Ibarbo has now sealed a further one-year deal with the Italian giants, with the option to make the move permanent for a further €8m (£5.7m).
"Roma announces that it has reached an agreement with Cagliari for the transfer of Victor Ibarbo on a one-year loan deal until June 30, 2016," read a statement on the club's official website.
"Cagliari will be paid a fixed loan fee of €5m, potentially rising to €6m [£4.3m] in bonuses relating to the performance of AS Roma and the player himself.
"The deal also includes an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the 2015-16 season for a fee of €8m."
Ibarbo joins fellow forward Iago Falque in joining Rudi Garcia's side so far this summer.
